New Orleans native, Angela Day, has always had a love for art and design. She took Interior Design courses in high school and attended The Art Institute when first starting college.

While taking time off from school, she worked several years in the Architecture & Engineering world and moved into a position handling government construction contracts. After getting married, she decided to go back to school. While having two beautiful children, working full-time and completely renovating two houses, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at the University of Southern Mississippi.

There is so much new residential construction and so many talented professionals, she wanted to create a space for all of them to be showcased. The purpose of this website is to share the ins and outs of the design and build process, highlight some new homes, showcase reputable professionals along with samples of their work and contact information, and just have fun checking out Behind the Builds!
